Big City Mayors Want Billions More From You

In this installment of 3D Politics Live..
- Two metropolitan bond elections will potentially hike taxes by $1.5 Billion. But the 2 big city mayors are lying. Rates may stay high, but taxes will definitely change.
Years ago, we authorized a special temporary tax for some one-time capital improvements, but that tax is now being diverted to routine municipal maintenance of infrastructure.
But what's worse is that many of these multimillion dollar ideas are not core functions of govt. and directly compete with local businesses.

It's no less than a cultural revolution. The same intolerance that infected red China for ten years, and caused the deaths of millions.
Here's what Wikipedia said..
The Cultural Revolution, formally the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, was a sociopolitical movement in the People's Republic of China from 1966 until 1976. Launched by Mao Zedong, then Chairman of the Communist Party of China, its stated goal was to preserve Chinese Communism by purging remnants of capitalist and traditional elements from Chinese society, and to re-impose Mao Zedong Thought (known outside China as Maoism) as the dominant ideology in the Communist Party of China. The Revolution marked Mao's return to a position of power after a period of less radical leadership to recover from the failures of the Great Leap Forward, whose leftist policies led to famine and approximately 30 million deaths only five years earlier. The Cultural Revolution damaged China's economy and led to the death of an estimated 500,000 to 2,000,000 people.[1]Mao launched the movement in May 1966, soon calling on young people to "bombard the headquarters" and proclaiming that "to rebel is justified". Mao charged that bourgeois elements had infiltrated the government and society and that they aimed to restore capitalism. Lin Biao, head of the People's Liberation Army (PLA), was written into the constitution as Mao's successor; Lin had compiled the Little Red Book, a selection of Mao's sayings, that became a sacred text for Mao's personality cult. To eliminate his rivals within the Communist Party of China (CPC) and in schools, factories, and government institutions, Mao insisted that revisionists be removed through violent class struggle. China's youth responded by forming Red Guard groups around the country, which split into rival factions and sometimes open battle. Schools and universities were closed. Urban workers likewise split into factions, and the PLA had to be sent to restore order. Senior officials, most notably Liu Shaoqi and Deng Xiaoping, were purged or exiled. Millions of people were accused of being Rightists and persecuted or suffered public humiliation, imprisonment, torture, hard labor, seizure of property, and sometimes execution or harassment into suicide. Many urban intellectual youths were sent to the countryside in the Down to the Countryside Movement. Red Guards destroyed historical relics and artifacts or ransacked cultural and religious sites.Mao officially ended the Cultural Revolution in 1969, but its active phase lasted until at least 1971, when Lin Biao fled and died in a plane crash, accused of plotting to overthrow Mao. After Mao's death and the arrest of the Gang of Four in 1976, Deng Xiaoping gradually dismantled the Maoist policies associated with the Cultural Revolution. In 1981, the Party declared that the Cultural Revolution was "responsible for the most severe setback and the heaviest losses suffered by the Party, the country, and the people since the founding of the People's Republic".[2]

With a November 1st effective date, a few Democrat leftists went to court to attempt to block the implementation of the newly restored civil right of self defense.
Rep. Jason Lowe fought to block the civil right by first attempting a citizen referendum petition. The group who helped this tactic fell very short of the 59,000 they needed.
Then Lowe claimed in a court petition that the state's constitutional 'single subject' rule was violated because more than one named personal defense armament was stated.
A District Court Judge denied a preemptive injunction while the lawsuit is litigated; Lowe said he would seek an emergency appeal by the Oklahoma Supreme Court on Halloween Day (today).
Lowe's suit remains in place and citizens may ultimately lose this legal battle. But it's a thinly-veiled political tactic to stop a movement of the people to reassert constitutional law and civil rights.
It remains to be seen whether Rep. Lowe will be ultimately be charged with Barratry (abuse of the court system).
Don Spencer gives a short video recap on the Injunction against the Constitutional Carry Law.
On Friday morning there will be a rally at the South pavilion of the state capitol. Participants can lawfully (& constitutionally) carry arms on the capitol grounds on that day. But the fight isn't over. Rep. Lowe's legal team still has a date in court.

Nov. 1st Meeting Set.

Picture
Just 24 hours after OKGOP Vice Chair, Mike Turner, publicly called for a special meeting of the OKGOP Budget Committee. Chairman David McLain finally called the committee into their 2nd meeting of the new administration.
On Friday night, November 1st, the committee will meet at the State GOP headquarters, in OKC.  Several party members are asking that a budget be presented to the presiding State Committee of the OKGOP as soon as possible, to restore some trust with donors about proper spending.
The party chairman divulged to KFAQ radio that more than $16,000 of credit card debt has amassed, including 2 east coast trips to National party meetings where McLain had the OKGOP pay for his wife & a staffer to come along. The OKGOP does not normally pay for these unnecessary expenses and in fact requires that the two Oklahoma Committee members, (Steve Curry & Carolyn McLarty) to pay for their own travel, lodging, & meals; for these meetings.
The budget committee was supposed to be active by early June, to propose a budget and authorize sending when the State Committee held their Summer meeting (usually in late June).
But the committee members were still being recruited last August, and only met for the first time, just "two nights prior" to the August meeting.
The membership of the Budget Committee is still not published, despite assurances that it would be.  Some members' inclusion is in question, and Chairman Gary Jones has told SoonerPolitics that he stepped down from the Chairmanship of the group, but is willing to stay on as a member.
